LOKANARKAV TEMPLE
🎉 Festivals
The main festival celebrated here is the Pooram, an eight-day festival held during the Malayalam month of Meenam (March–April). The temple festival begins with the flag-hoisting ceremony (Kodiyettam) and concludes with the Aarattu, the ceremonial holy bath.
The Mandalavilakku, a 30-day observance held during the Malayalam month of Vrischikam (November–December), is another important festival celebrated here.
A unique cultural tradition of this place is Thacholikkali, a traditional art form performed by the Thiyyampadi Kuruppus. This art form bears a close resemblance to Kalaripayattu, the traditional martial art of Kerala.
